Claudia Verciani is an Expressionist oil painter who is influenced by Impressionism and Fauvism.
Collectors value her scenic depictions of nature and her playful renditions of life at the seashore. Her use of color is soothing; overall, her work exudes harmony, peace and a sense of sanctuary.
Her artistic method is feeling-based: it seeks to capture the mood that resides within a single, fleeting moment. Her inspiration comes from been passionately involved with her subject matter. Whether the theme is a landscape, a still life, or a human figure, her love for the subject becomes woven into the work and then is readily perceived by the viewer. A native of Brazil, Claudia resides in San Diego, California, USA. She has studied design at the Academy of Arts College in San Francisco, California, and has studied drawing and painting at the University of California, San Diego.
Her most recent award is from the San Diego Museum of Art for her submission to the San Diego Fair Fine Arts Exhibit of 2013.
