CamiD's Biography
Cami was born and raised on Long Island, New York where she was introduced to a variety of arts through her mother; whose side of the family including herself was painters, graphic artists, art teachers, an architect and sculptors. It was her father who examined the world through more practical ways, teaching her how things work and move. After high school she attended various colleges gaining a variety of experiences and interests. It was the combination of the creative, practical and her own interest in spatial puzzles that lead to a profession in architecture. Cami earned her Architectural B.S. degree at NYIT where she first studied the effects of lighting on space and its effect on people.
Known for her high standards and attention to detail, Cami's primary focus in architecture is to create an innovative and hands-on individual experience for every project. Her experiences with commercial, residential and school projects allow her to bring an array of knowledge to every project with outstanding results. It is within the spaces created and how light affects that space that interests Cami. Her photographic project is an extension of the examination of that light.
Throughout the years of her professional experiences, Cami has been continuing to study the effects of light on space and shape, resulting in her latest project of shifting light in space.
