Brittni Cute - Biography
Brittni Cute has been working as a professional fine art and commercial photographer since 2002. Educated at Ohio University, where she studied at the College of Fine Arts and The School of Visual Communication, her work has been exhibited in galleries in New York, California and London. Mainly known for her liquid-based abstract photography, she has recently taken herself out of the studio to create her latest body of work, “Dream with Your Eyes Open.” Using her unique eye for pattern and color, Brittni has comprised a series of polyptychs that present the landscape in a new and whimsical perspective.
These images are meant to invite the viewer to engage in the complex design that surrounds them in the natural world. Images are shot on both medium format film and digital, without compromising or changing the original color or form. In addition to her medium-format camera collection, Brittni boasts a collection of over 200 vintage cameras, some dating back to the 1940’s. Aside from her fine art work, Brittni works commercially for several different agencies creating work for hotels and restaurants in the US and Canada. Currently, she continues to hunt for both vintage treasures and overlooked designs in ecologically created forms.
